Not a lot of text today...
A couple shots of the 3 Gili Islands and the typical outrigger type of boats from the area.
We went diving a wreck where we met a lot of other divers. When our Divemaster first spotted the Whitetip Reef Shark on the bottom, he signalled us, but obviously all saw it and all rushed to take selfies with the shark in the background while doing the "Hang loose sign". Many of them must have been pretty annoyed as one diver with total disrespect for their safety distance of 10 meters, swam on towards the shark while filming same. It was beautiful... Later we took it through the wreck, and as we exited the had all gone! Not a trace of other divers, so we carried on for another 25 minutes, exploring the wreck and surroundings.
Can you see the name of the wreck and what type of boat it was?
Our next dive, after an 1hour15 minutes surface interval, was at Sharks Point. We saw some 7 or 8 Whitetips and we lost count of the number of turtles that we saw... There were a couple with transmitters on their back, and towards the end of the dive we saw turtles everywhere!
About midway through we saw a couple of Moray Eel's, well, I was frantically signalling Jannie about the giant Moray, but she just went on. At some stage she looked down, right at it, as she was swimming right over it :-O
Question to the last picture, taken as we were ascending: How many turtles in the picture?
One of the bigger Whitetips of the day
3 Whitetips resting in a cavern
One of numerous turtles that actually cared about our presence
Surprise
